World class lathe turning services
At Fastener Innovation Technology, Inc. (FIT), we possess a full spectrum of lathe turning capabilities. Our ongoing investment into technology and development has seen us invest in multi-axis CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machines, which enable our skilled technicians and engineers to offer a full range of single-source machining processes.

During CNC lathe machining, the lathe remains in a central position while the workpiece is rotated at speed against the lathe, during which process it is worn into the desired shape. The capacity to utilize multiple axes offers the option to use more than one lathe simultaneously, which allows the workpiece to be worked on multiple sides at the same time, thus providing high levels of detail and precision.

A tailored lathe service
CNC lathing is highly repeatable and accurate. However, the programming requirements may make CNC lathe machining prohibitively expensive for smaller production runs. In these instances, manual lathe machining, where the lathe is operated by a skilled operator instead of a CNC machine, may be more cost effective for prototyping and small production runs. Our teams will work closely with each client to determine the type of product, specifications, material and finish, as well as the most appropriate manufacturing process to meet the client’s requirements in terms of functionality, precision, size of order, cost and, of course, industry compliance.
