Airframe and Structural Fasteners
.
Cold, warm heading and forging processes are used to produce many types of screws and bolts that are specified in structural aircraft assembly; or to hold fuselage access panels, landing gear components, etc. The materials used range from alloy to stainless steels and exotic alloys, with strengths up to 260,000 PSI MUTS.
.
Standard fastener finishes are used along with special plating and coatings engineered to provide the maximum of mechanical performance with optimum environmental and friction protection.
.
The types of threads available cover practically all American standards including "J" form, metric (ISO) and special threads such as non-standard pitch diameters. They are routinely produced on a variety of thread rolling equipment.
